III. Project Description
It is planned to build a monocrystalline silicon production line and supported facilities with annual capacity of 100 tons. Monocrystalline silicon is widely used in electric and electronic apparatus, solar battery, apparatus of radiofrequency, various detectors, sensors and far infrared window. It is called foundation stone of modern social information. It belongs to a high-tech project encouraged by the state. The reserves of silicon in our counties are very rich and it mainly distributes in north mountainous area. The county has 21 silica production areas and reserve is estimated to be one hundred million tons. The reserves of three mining areas are verified to be 21 million tons and the silica grade is 99.6%-99.9%. Through test by some authorities, it conforms to the requirements of monocrystalline silicon production and it can supply sufficient raw materials for monocrystalline silicon production.

Total investment of the project is 80 million Yuan. Cooperation form: joint venture or cooperation.

V. Anticipation of Market and Analysis of Investment Return
At present, the monocrystalline silicon demand in international market is about 65000 tons and the demand in country is about 4000 tons. Monoccrystalline silicon has high added-value and little pollution. After the project meets the production targets, the production value is estimated to be 160 million Yuan and profit 17 million Yuan. The investment recovery period is 5 years.
