III. Project Description
Six-Inch Brake Tube with extra high voltage and high-power is an imperative core parts in electric power and electronics industries. It mainly is applied to extra high voltage direct current transmission project and other fields required in national economy. According to the Eleventh Five-year Plan of electric power industry and 2020 years’ elementary arrangement, up to year 2020, China will have 22 direct currency projects to be built and the total capacity exceed 60 million KW. During Eleventh Five-year Plan period, there will be 4 direct currency projects and some back-to-back direct project. It will need about 2500 pieces of brake tube. Up to 2020, China will have 22 direct currency projects. The production value is estimated to be 8 billion Yuan. The main raw materials of Six-Inch Brake Tube are silicon single-crystal, molybdenum disc with large diameter and metal-ceramic envelop. At present, it needs purchasing from foreign countries. It is planed to cooperate with those enterprises with strength to realize domestically production. The market prospect is broad.

Total investment of the project is 320 million Yuan and it is confirmed under negotiation.

The R & D project of Six-Inch Brake Tube with extra high voltage and high-power has been approved by State Development and Reform Commission. The market demand is huge and the benefit is considerable.
