III. Project Description
Yulin No.2 Woolen Mill is one of the key projects in Yulin City during "The 7th Five-Year Plan" period. As the large Class-II State-owned enterprise, it was put into operation in 1988. It is subordinated to Yulin Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, with registered capital of 45 million Yuan, total assets of 460 million Yuan (including the land) and total liabilities of 450 million Yuan. It focuses mainly upon worsted wool fabrics, tailoring, electoral wool, wool tops and slick production. Covering an area of 260,000 m², it has 980 employees (360 engineering technicians and management personnel). Technical equipments and production capacity: Yulin No.2 Woolen Mill is a modern worsted wool enterprise integrating wool scouring, slivering, dyeing, spinning, weaving, shaping and garment. Its annual production capacity is 2.4 million m fine wool fabrics, 400 tons of wool, 600 tons of wool tops, and 100,000 sets of clothes. Woolen Cloth Branch has four production procedures such as slice dyeing, spinning, weaving, and shaping, and 10,296 spindles and 192 looms. Post-cleaning steamer, introduced from Italy, is sophisticated after testing. Clothing Branch has set up four production lines for garments, and has 160 sets of equipments, some of which are imported from Japan. Wool Top Branch has two production procedures such as wool scouring and slice production, and one set of advanced wool scouring and slice production equipment. It passed ISO9002 international quality system authentication. It is proposed to retain the industries, and sell the assets on the whole.
Yulin No.2 Woolen Mill enjoys magnificent appearance and beautiful environment, adjacent to ancient city of Yulin in the east, to Yulin Economic and Technological Development Zone in the south, to Yulin Airport in the west, and to Yulin Municipal Government in the north, and connected closely with Shenmu-Yan’an Railway and State Highway 210. With rich wool resources, Yulin City is adjoining to Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the place of origin for wool, so it has unique raw materials; In addition, local area has the advantages of low prices of labor force and low costs of products. After nearly 20 years of continuous development, it has accumulated a batch of high-quality staff members, which are favorable for the development of wool industry. Along with rapid implementation of West Development Program and construction of national energy and chemical base, Yulin will become the strong city during the West Development, which will certainly provide enormous development advantages for Yulin No.2 Woolen Mill.
