Brief Introduction to Cai Jiapo Economic & Technological Development Zone

 
Cai Jiapo Economic & Technological Development Zone is located at the western part of Guanzhong Plain in Shaanxi province, 120 kilometers west of Xi'an, 40 kilometers east of Baoji urban district. It is the only development zone of provincial level in Baoji city, authorized by Shanxi Provincial Government in March, 1995. The development zone now becomes the key point for the construction of "One Line Two Belts", the economic strategy drawn up by Shaanxi Province. The zone is also the main carrier of implementing decisions of Baoji Municipal Government to build the production base of heavy automobile spare part in Cai Jiapo, making the zone the economic center east of Baoji city. In the zone the transportation is well-developed, and Long-Hai Railroad, Xi-Bao High-speed Railroad, Xi-Bao Expressway, Xi-Bao Median Highroad and Guanzhong Tourist Circular Line pass through the area. In recent years, in pursuing the best of the investment environment and living residence, the Management Committee in the development zone has invested more than 300 million Yuan on the construction of city infrastructure and laid a good foundation for the project construction.

There are more than 500 enterprises in the zone, featured especially on one hand by the equipment manufacturing industry led by the automobile spare part production and on the other hand the leading enterprise Shaanxi Automobile Group, one of five big heavy automobile production enterprises in our country. 18 important spare part production enterprises are mainly Shaanxi Han De Automobile Axle Company, Baoji Fast Auto Drive Company , Shaanxi Tongli Special-purpose Automobile Company, Baoji Hua Qiang Trade Company and so on. The products include such varieties as heavy automobile axle, gear box, automotive frame assembly, big compartment assembly, all kinds of casting, forging and so on, totaling more than 100. In 2006 the output value of automobile spare part industry in the development zone occupied 39% of the gross value of industrial output in Cai Jiapo, and it has become the leading industry in the development zone and where most merchants invest.
