Brief Introduction to
Hanzhong Economic Development Zone

Hanzhong Economic Development Zone, or Hanzhong High-Tech Industries Park, was approved as a provincial-level zone by the Government of Shaanxi Province. The total development area is 13km2，separated into the north zone and the south zone. Hanzhong Economic Development Zone enjoys geographical advantages and convenient transportation network, with National highway 108 and 316 and Xi-Han Expressway passing through and the line Baocheng, Xiangyu, and Yang’an extending in all directions. Hanzhong Air Flight connects it with Xi’an in an non-stop way. Three 110KV transformer substations, one water supply plant with a capability of 60 thousand ton per day and a sewage drainage capable of 88,000 tons per day have been built up. The main roads in the zone have been basically completed. Thanks to the well–built infrastructure in water supply, sewage drainage, electricity, communication and roads, Hanzhong Economic Development Zone has become a perfect land for the investors.

The North Zone, designed for development of industry and improvement of living, covers a total area of 8 km2 . For the west section of Tianhan Avenue, a modern Chinese medicine industrial park of southern Shaanxi and the aeronautical industrial park are to be built. The east of Tianhan Avenue, with its geographic advantages, is made for the development of trade & service, life insurance, tourism & vacationing, and res earch & teaching. The total development area is 5 km2.
 Hanzhong Economic Development Zone, based on Aeronautical Technology, Machinery-Manufacturing and Green Industry development, will give full play to the following industrial areas: the Aeronautic Manufacture, the R&D of traditional Chinese medicine, of  bio-engineering medicine and biology engineering, of composite medicinal packing materials, of instrumentation and measurement, and of newly electronic device，the technology on optical-electro-mechanic integration, on advanced manufacture of mould equipment, on energy-saving electrical household appliances, and green food production and processing.
