Brief Introduction to Tongchuan New District

Tongchuan New District was established in 1992 and approved in 1993 by Shaanxi provincial government for enjoying all the preferential policies for Economical technology development zone at provincial level, and has been listed into the core arrangement of construction, which belongs to “one line with two belts” plan. Up to now, the State Council has formally approved the municipal government to move into the new district, with a planned area of 35 sq.km., a population of up to 0.35million and greening percentage of coverage up to 35%.

With many years’ efforts of development and construction, the new district has already taken shape, capable of the construction of 10sq.km for initial development. Besides, more than 40kilometers urban roads and greening land up to 1.40million square meters have been completed. At present, more than 200 enterprises and units have entered into the Zone, including the leading food industry Wangwang Group Co. Ltd., the mainstream power supply industry Shaanxi Zhilan Co.Ltd. and the major new material industry Xi’an Jianda Zhongxing Co.Ltd. The Tongchuan new district has already become one of the hometowns for investment by the merchants home and abroad.
