Prices of Farm Produce and Prices of Production Means Fall Slightly
 
 
According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, the market index of edible agricultural products went down 0.5% over last week and that of the production means fell down 0.6% week on week (April 10-16).

In farm produce market: the average price of 30 kinds of vegetable decreased 2.7% over last week, among which, the prices of leek, cabbage and cucumber decreased 12.9%, 7.4% and 7% respectively week on week. The price of meat decreased in different ranges, among which those beef and mutton decreased 0.4%, 0.3% and 0.4% respectively. The price of edible oil fell, with those of rapeseed oil and soybean oil down 0.4% and 0.3% respectively and that of peanut oil up 0.1%. The prices of poultry and eggs fell slightly, with those of chicken and duck down 1.4% and 0.2% respectively and that of chicken up 0.3%. The price of grain fluctuated slightly, with that of rice up 0.2%, and that of flour down 0.3%, compared with last week. The average price of aquatic product was up 0.4%, with the prices of little yellow croaker, grass carp and large hairtail up 2.3%, 1.5% and 1.3% respectively.

The means of production market: the price of rubber was down 3.1%, with the price of natural rubber and synthetic rubber down 3.8% and 2.3% respectively. The price of nonferrous metal was down 2.4% over last week, among which the prices of lead, zinc, nickel, copper, aluminum and tin were down 4.7%, 3.9%, 3.5%, 2.4%, 1.1% and 0.8% respectively. The price of steel decreased 2%, with the prices of hot-rolled common sheet, high-speed rod wire, U-bar steel and deformed steel down 2.5%, 2.4%, 2.3% and 2.2% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer was down 0.3%, with the prices of urea, NPK and kalium chloratum down 0.6%, 0.2% and 0.1% respectively and that of DAP remaining unchanged. The price of basic chemical raw material decreased 0.2%, with the prices of sodium carbonate and sulfuric acid down 1.1% and 0.5% respectively, and those of purified petroleum benzine, caustic soda and methyl alcohol up 1.3%, 0.5% and 0.1% respectively. The price of coal was steady, with the price of coking coal up 0.3%, that of blind coal down 0.1% and that of steam coal staying steady.
