Prices of Edible Agricultural Products Continue to Drop and Means of Production Increase Slightly
 
According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, the market index of edible agricultural products went down 0.3% over last week and that of the production means increase 0.1% week on week (April 24-30).


In farm produce market: the price of poultry products continued to decrease, among which the price of eggs, duck and chicken decreased 2.5%, 0.9% and 0.6% respectively. The price of meat decreased mainly, with the price of pork and beef down 1.7% and 0.3% respectively, and the price of mutton up 0.3%. The average price of 30 kinds of vegetable was down 0.5% week on week, with the prices of lettuce, eggplant and Chinese chives down 6.1%, 5% and 4.8% respectively. The price of edible oil fluctuated slightly, with the prices of soybean oil and rapeseed oil down 0.4% and 0.1% respectively, and the price of peanut oil up 0.2%. The price of grain increased slightly, with the price of lour up 0.3%, and that of rice remaining the same as that of the previous week. The price of aquatic product was up 1.3%, with the prices of little yellow croaker, crucian and small hairtail up 3.7%, 2.8% and 2.2% respectively.

The means of production market: the price of nonferrous metal increased 0.8% over the previous week, with the prices of copper, zinc and aluminum up 1.1%, 0.9% and 0.9% respectively, and those of nickel, tin and lead down 1.4%, 0.6% and 0.2% respectively. The price of steel was up 0.2%, with the prices of high speed wire rod, deformed steel and common round steel up 0.6%, 0.6% and 0.4% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer remained steady, with thatof NPK down 0.2%, that of kalium chloratum up 0.1% and that of urea and DAP remaining the same as that of the previous week. The price of basic chemical raw material was down 0.1%, with those of sodium carbonate, methyl alcohol and purified petroleum benzin down 1.6%, 1.3% and 0.2% respectively, while those of sulfuric acid and caustic soda up 0.8% and 0.3% respectively. The price of coal was down 0.2%, with those of blind coal and steamed coal down 0.5% and 0.2% respectively, and that price of coking coal remaining steady. The price of rubber decreased 0.4%, with that of synthetic rubber down 1.2% and that of natural rubber up 0.2%.
