Prices of Edible Agricultural Products and Means of Production Drop Slightly
 
According to the watchdog of the MOFCOM, the market price index of national edible agricultural products went down by 0.2% and that of means of production dropped by 0.3% compared with the previous week in May 8-14.

In edible agricultural products market: the average price of 30 kinds of vegetables decreased 1.5% compared with the previous week, among which the prices of cucumber, bitter gourd and green pepper went down by 10.6%, 7.5% and 6.9% respectively. The prices of poultry products fell on the whole, with the prices of chicken and eggs down 0.5% and 0.3% respectively, that of duck remaining the same as the previous week. The price of edible oil dropped slightly, with the prices of soybean oil and rapeseed oil down 0.5% and 0.2% respectively, and that of peanut oil the same as the previous week. The price of grain food decreased steadily, with the prices of rice down 0.2%, and that of flour the same as the previous week. The price of meat fluctuated, with the price of pork down 0.4%, and those of beef and mutton up 0.3% and 0.4% respectively. The prices of aquatic products went up 0.8%, with the prices of carp, little yellow croaker and grass carp up 1.6%, 1.5% and 1.4% respectively.

Means of production market: the price of rubber went down 1.8% compared with the previous week, among which the prices of synthetic rubber and natural rubber decreased 2.9% and 0.9% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metal went down 0.8%, with the prices of copper, nickel, tin and aluminum down 1.9%, 1%, 0.4% and 0.3% respectively, and those of zinc up 0.5% and lead the same as the previous week. The price of basic chemical materials fell 0.7%, with the prices of purified petroleum benzin, sodium carbonate, sulfuric acid and methyl alcohol down 2.2%, 1.1%, 1% and 0.9% respectively, and that of caustic soda up 0.2%. The price of coal went down 0.3%, with the prices of steam coal and blind coal down 0.3% and 0.2% respectively, and that of coking coal staying the same as the previous week. The price of chemical fertilizer went down 0.1%, with the prices of urea, DAP and NPK down 0.1%, and that of KCL up 0.1%. The price of steel went up 0.5%, with the prices of deformed steel bar, high-speed rod and H-steel up 1%, 0.9% and 0.8% respectively.
