With the opportunities brought about by “the Belt and Road” initiative, Shaanxi private enterprises are preparing for global expansion with capacity cooperation and international merges.

Recently, its first overseas fully owned company – Malaysian Kuching Longji Company is commissioning its monocrystalline assembly and monocrystalline silicon battery production line, which is expected to start production by the end of the month. The products will be sold to solar energy enterprises in countries in Southeast Asia and America. The preparation work was done intensively within one year and when the project starts its production, it will produce an annual output of 300 megawatt monocrystalline silicon rods, 1,000 megawatt monocrystalline silicon wafers and other products such as high efficiency monocrystalline batteries, with an annual revenue exceeding RMB 2.1 billion yuan. According to the general manager Yan Shijin, Longji Green Energy Technological Co. Ltd. not only provides about 2,500 working posts for Sarawak people, but also helps push forward the local economy.

Xi’an Focus Light Technology is dedicated to the development and production of high power laser semiconductors and lasers. Just in the last month, it acquired 100% stock equity of an old brand laser R & D company-the German LIMO, at a price of RMB 0.22 billion yuan. With the market and customer resources accumulated by LIMO, Focus Light improved its industrial chain and global layout. According to the vice manager Tian Ye, the combination of priorities and strength has made Focus Light a comprehensive laser enterprise with international prospects. Presently Focus Light products have been serving over 40 countries and regions all over the world.

To guide and encourage enterprises to develop international business, Shaanxi Province has formulated and implemented action plans such as Ideas on Accelerating the Implementation of “Going Out” Strategies in Shaanxi, set up funds for overseas entrepreneurial development, supported 100 advantageous enterprises’ international cooperation in capacity production and modern agriculture, and accelerated its building of three overseas economical and trade cooperation parks. Till the end of 2016, the number of Shaanxi enterprises that have expanded overseas business has increased to 187 and the investment volume achieved unprecedented levels. According to Wang Jian, director of the international economical cooperation office in Shaanxi Commerce Department, Shaanxi private enterprises have enhanced their awareness of “going out” by building overseas factories, increasing international cooperation, developing high-end technologies and undertaking international merges.
