Release of Value Evaluation Results for Chinese Brand Teas 

 

In the past few days, the results of “2017 Public Brand Value Evaluation for Chinese Teas” were released. According to the evaluation data, 92 effective brands are evaluated with a total worth of about RMB 136.8 billion yuan, with an average of RMB 1.487 billion. Pu’er Tea, valued as RMB 6 billion yuan, is the highest brand. Hanzhong Xianhao and Ziyang Selenium Tea from Shaanxi, valued RMB 2.077 billion yuan and RMB 1.705 billion yuan, are ranked the 17th and 31st respectively.

It is learned that the tea industry is a specialty in Shaanxi, and one of the five major agricultural products. In recent years, Shaanxi Province has attached great importance to development of tea industry and issued a series of supporting policies. With many years of efforts, Shaanxi has cultivated a total area of 2,317,000 mu of tea parks, with an output of 101,000 tons which is worth RMB 13.7 billion yuan. It mainly plants green tea, supplemented by black tea.
