Prices of Edible Agricultural Products and Means of Production Increase Slightly

According to the watchdog of MOFCOM last week (June 19-25), the market index of edible agricultural products went up 0.1% over the previous week and that of production means increased 0.2% over the previous week too.

In the market of farm produce: the price of meat increased in different degrees, with the prices of port, beef and mutton up 0.1%, 0.3% and 1% respectively. The average price of 30 kinds of vegetables went up 0.3% compared over the previous week, with the prices of Chinese yam, tomato and asparagus lettuce up 4.9%, 4.7% and 4.6% respectively. The price of grain food rose slightly, with the prices of power and rice up 0.5% and 0.3% respectively. The prices of poultry products increased on the whole, with the price of egg up 9.7%, that of chicken down 0.1% and that of duck the same as the previous week. The average price of aquatic products went up 0.1%, with the prices of crucian, carp and little yellow croaker up 1.1%, 0.8% and 0.4% respectively. The price of edible oil mainly decreased, with the prices of rapeseed oil and peanut oil down 0.3% and 0.2% respectively, and that of soybean oil the same as in the previous week.

In the market of production means: the price of non-ferrous metal went up 1.5% over the previous week, with the prices of lead, aluminum, nickel, zinc and cooper up 4.3%, 2%, 1.7%, 1.6% and 0.7% respectively, and that of tin down 0.3%. The price of steel increased 0.4%, with the prices of box iron, hot rolling common sheet and hot rolled strip up 1.3%, 1.3% and 1.2% respectively. The price of coal went up 0.3%, with the prices of coking coal, steam coal and blind coal up 0.5%, 0.4% and 0.1% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer increased by 0.1%, with the price of urea up 0.1%, those of KCL, DAP and NPK the same as the previous week. The prices of basic chemical raw materials decreased 0.8%, with the prices of methyl alcohol, purified petroleum benzine, caustic soda, sulfuric acid and sodium carbonate down 1.7%, 1.3%, 0.8%, 0.5% and 0.2% respectively. The price of rubber decreased by 1.4%, with the prices of synthetic rubber and natural rubber down 2.5% and 0.6% respectively.
