Prices of Edible Agricultural Products and Means of Production Increase Slightly
 
According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (June 26-July 2), the market index of edible agricultural products went up by 0.1% over the previous week and that of production means increased by 0.3% over the previous week.


In the market of farm produce: the price of poultry increased in general, with the prices of eggs, duck and chicken up 3.2%, 0.6% and 0.4% respectively. The average price of 30 kinds of vegetable increased by 0.6% over the previous week, among which the prices of white radish, Chinese cabbage and pumpkin increased by 9.6%, 7.7% and 6.6% respectively. The average price of aquatic products was up 0.3%, with the prices of chub, small yellow croaker and grass carp up 1.2%, 0.7% and 0.6% respectively. The price of meat increased generally, with the prices of pork and mutton up 0.5% and 0.1% respectively, but the price of beef down 0.1%. The price of grain remained steady, with the price of rice and flour remaining the same as that of the previous week. The price of edible oil remained stable in general with some slight falls, with the price of rapeseed oil remaining the same as that of the previous week, and those of peanut oil and soybean oil down 0.2% and 0.1% respectively.

In the market of production means: the price of nonferrous metal was up 1.5% over the previous week, with the prices of copper, nickel, aluminum, zinc, lead and tin up 2.7%, 2.3%, 0.6%, 0.5%, 0.1% and 0.1% respectively. The price of rubber increased by1.3%, with the price of natural rubber up 2.3% and that of synthetic rubber down 0.1%. The price of steel increased by 1%, among which the prices of hot-rolled common sheet, welded steel tube, cold-rolled common sheet and box iron increased by 2.1%, 2%, 1.8% and 1.4% respectively. The price of basic chemical raw material was up 0.3%, with the prices of sodium carbonate, caustic soda, purified petroleum benzine and sulfuric acid up 0.8%, 0.7%, 0.3% and 0.2% respectively, while that of methyl alcohol down 0.9%. The price of coal was up 0.2%, with the prices of coking coal and steamed coal up 0.4% and 0.2% respectively, and that of blind coal remaining the same as that of the previous week. The price of chemical fertilizer remained steady, with the price of urea up 0.2%, the prices of kalium chloratum and DAP both down 0.1%, and that of NPK remaining steady.
