Prices of Edible Agricultural Products and Means of Production Keep Rising

 

According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (July 24-July 30), the market index of edible agricultural products went up 0.5% over the previous week and that of production means increased by 0.7% over the previous week.

In the market of farm produce: the average price of 30 kinds of vegetable went up 2.8% over the previous week, among which the prices of soybean fragrant-flowered garlic and lettuce increased 11.1%, 10.3% and 9.7% respectively. The price of poultry product increased at different degrees, with the prices of eggs, chicken and ducks up 1.6%, 0.8% and 0.2% respectively. The price of aquatic product increased 0.2%, with the prices of carp, crucian and chub up 1.3%, 0.8% and 0/6% respectively. The price of meet fluctuated, with the prices of pork and beef down 0.2% and 0.3% respectively, and that of mutton up 0.1%. The price of grain food remained stable, with the prices of rice and flour staying unchanged as in the previous week. The price of edible oil remained steady on the whole, with the prices of rapeseed oil and soybean oil the same as those in the previous week, and that of peanut oil down 0.2%.

In the market of production means: the price of non-ferrous metal went up 2.4% over the previous week, among which the prices of copper, nickel, lead, tin and zinc rose by 4.5%, 3.4%, 3.1%, 2.2% and 1.3% respectively, and that of aluminum fell by 0.5%. The price of steel increased 0.7%, with the prices of hot-rolled common sheet, welded steel tube, high speed wire rod and deformed steel bar up 1.1%, 1%, 0.9% and 0.7% respectively. The price of coal increased 0.3%, with the prices of steam coal and coking coal up 0.4% and that of blind coal the same as the previous week. The price of basic chemical raw material fluctuated, with the price of sulfuric acid up 0.3% and those of pure benzene, methyl alcohol and caustic soda down 0.5%, 0.1% and 0.1% respectively, and the price of sodium carbonate the same as the previous week. The price of chemical fertilizer fell by 0.1%, with the price of urea down 0.2% and those of KCL, DAP and NPK the same as those in the previous week. The price of rubber price dropped by 1.8%, with the prices of natural rubber and synthetic rubber down 2.1% and 1.3% respectively.
