Prices of Edible Agricultural Products and Means of Production Continue to Pick Up
 

According to the watchdog of the MOFCOM, the market price index of national edible agricultural products increased by 0.5% over the previous week and that of means of production rose by 1.6% over the previous week.

In the market of edible agricultural products: the price of poultry increased at different degrees, with the prices of eggs, duck and chicken up 4.9%, 0.5% and 0.4% respectively. The average price of 30 kinds of vegetables increased by 1.3% over the previous week, with the prices of lettuce, oilseed rape and asparagus lettuce up 9.1%, 8% and 7.1% respectively. The price of meat mainly went up, with the prices of pork and beef up 0.6% and 0.1% respectively, and that of mutton stayed the same as the previous week. The price of edible oil fluctuated, with the price of peanut oil down 0.3%, that of rapeseed up 0.1% and that of soybean oil the same as the previous week. The price of grain and food remained stable, with the price of rice the same as the previous week and that of flour down 0.3%. The average price of aquatic products decreased by 0.2%, with the prices of little yellow croaker, grass carp and little hairtail down 0.8%, 0.6% and 0.5% respectively

In the market of means of production: the price of steel increased by 3.3% over the previous week, with the prices of welded steel tube, hot rolled strip, high speed wire rod and box iron up 3.9%, 3.7%, 3.6% and 3.5% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metal increased by 3%, with the prices of aluminum, lead, nickel, zinc and copper up 7.4%, 3.6%, 2.7%, 2.2% and 0.6% respectively, and that of tin down 0.2%. The price of rubber increased by 1.3%, with the prices of natural rubber and synthetic rubber both rising by 1.3%. The price of basic chemical raw materials went up 0.7%, with the prices of methyl alcohol, sulphuric acid, caustic soda and pure benzene up 1.7%, 0.8%, 0.4% and 0.1% respectively and that of sodium carbonate down 0.1%. The price of coal increased by 0.3%, with the prices of coking coal, steam coal and blind coal up 0.4%, 0.2% and 0.1% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer decreased by 0.2%, with the price of urea down 0.4%, and those of KCL, DAP and NPK remaining stable.
