Prices of Edible Agricultural Products and Means of Production Continue to Pick up

 

According to the watchdog of the MOFCOM, the national market price index of edible agricultural products increased by 0.7% over the previous week (August 21-September 3) and that of the means of production rose by 0.3% over the previous week.

In the market of edible agricultural products: the price of poultry increased at different degrees, with the prices of eggs, chicken and duck up 1.9%, 0.8% and 0.7% respectively. The average price of 30 kinds of vegetables increased by 1.8% over the previous week, with the prices of cucumber, lettuce and cauliflower up 19.5%, 8% and 5.4% respectively. The price of meat went up slightly, with those of mutton and pork up 2.7% and 0.8% respectively and that of beef the same as that in the previous week. The price of edible oil increased slightly, with the prices of soybean oil, rapeseed and peanut oil up 0.4%, 0.4% and 0.2% respectively. The prices of grain and food dropped slightly, with the prices of rice and flour down 0.2% and 0.3% respectively. The average price of aquatic products decreased by 0.7%, with the prices of silver carp, trichiurus muticus and pseudosciaena crocea down 1.4%, 1.4% and 1.3% respectively.

In the market of production means, the price of non-ferrous metal increased by 0.7%, with the prices of copper, and tin up 2.1%, 0.3% and 0.2% respectively, and that of aluminum, nickel and zinc down 0.6%, 0.5% and 0.4% respectively. The price of steel increased by 0.5%, with the prices of welded steel tube, hot-rolled strip steel, high-speed wire rod, and screw-thread steel up 1%, 0.7%, 0.6% and 0.5% respectively. The price of coal increased by 0.2%, with the prices of blind coal, steam coal and coking coal up 0.5%, 0.2% and 0.1% respectively. The price of rubber increased by 0.2%, with those of synthetic rubber and natural rubber up 0.4% and 0.1% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer remained stable, with that of urea down 0.1%, that of KCL up 0.1%, and those of DAP and NPK the same as in the previous week. The price of basic chemical raw materials went down 0.2%, with the prices of caustic soda and sodium carbonate down 1.3% and 0.2% respectively and that of pure benzene, methyl alcohol, sulphuric acid up 0.8%, 0.5% and 0.2% respectively.
