Prices of Edible Agricultural Products and Means of Production Continue to Increase

 

According to the watchdog of the MOFCOM, the national market price index of both edible agricultural products and the means of production rose by 0.6% over the previous week (September 4-10).

In the market of edible agricultural products: the price of poultry increased at different degrees, with the prices of eggs, chicken and duck up 2.6%, 0.5% and 0.2% respectively. The average price of 30 kinds of vegetables increased by 2.5% over the previous week, with the prices of ginger, daikon and tomato up 10.5%, 10% and 8.9% respectively. The price of meat went up slightly, with those of beef, mutton and pork up 0.3%, 0.2% and 0.1% respectively. The average price of aquatic products increased by 0.4%, with the prices of pseudosciaena crocea, silver carp and small hairtail up 1.5%, 1% and 0.7% respectively. The price of edible oil increased slightly, with the prices of soybean oil and peanut oil up 0.3% and 0.1% respectively and that of rapeseed the same as in the previous week. The prices of grain and food remained stable, with the price of flour up 0.3% and that of rice the same as in the previous week.  

In the market of production means, the price of rubber increased by 2.6%, with those of synthetic rubber and natural rubber up 2.9% and 2.4% respectively. The price of steel increased by 1.4%, with the prices of hot-rolled steel, common middle plate, high-speed wire rod and screw-thread steel up 2.5%, 2.1%, 1.8% and 1.6% respectively. The price of coal increased by 0.3%, with that of steam coal and blind coal up 0.3% and 0.2% respectively and that of coking coal down 0.1%. The price of basic chemical raw materials increased by 0.2%, with the prices of methyl alcohol, sodium carbonate and pure benzene up 2.5%, 1.1% and 0.7% respectively and those of caustic soda and sulphuric acid down 1% and 0.2% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer remained stable, with that of urea the same as in the previous week, and those of KCL, DAP and NPK all up 0.1%. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased by 0.1%, with the prices of zinc, tin, lead and aluminum down 1.6%, 1.4%, 0.6% and 0.6% respectively, and that of nickel and copper up 2.7% and 0.7% respectively.
